Overview
This guide will walk you through establishing a connection required for the Salesforce integration. It is divided into three sections.

Section 1: Before You Connect
Preconditions and Important Notes
- You must have an Admin account to log in to Salesforce on the Lightning platform.
- You will need the following values that are generated in Salesforce (see Section 2). These will be used in Section 3 in order to complete the connection for this integration.

- Consumer Secret
- Domain Name

Section 2: Create Paylocity App in Salesforce
- Step 1: Log into Salesforce as an administrator.
- Step 2: Click the gear icon to select the Setup option.
- Step 3: In the left navigation menu, select Apps. Then, select App Manager.
- Step 4: Click New Connected App.
- Step 5: In the SETUP App Manager, complete three required fields (indicated with a red bar on the field's left.)

- Connected App Name: Paylocity Integration
- API Name: Paylocity Integration
- Contact Email: cs-support@paylocity.com

- Step 6: Complete the API (Enable OAuth Settings) section:

- Select Enable OAuth Settings
- Enter the Callback URL: https://app.cloudsnap.com/oauth_flow/complete
- For Selected OAuth Scopes, select all available, then add them by clicking the right arrow as shown in the screenshot below.
- Select Require Secret for Web Server Flow
- Select Require Secret for Refresh Token Flow

- Step 7: Scroll to the bottom and click the Save button.
- Step 8: After up to 10 minutes, copy the Consumer Key and Consumer Secret under API (Enable OAuth Settings), These are needed in in order to complete the connection.
- Step 9: You will need to obtain your Salesforce Domain Name. In the address bar, copy the first part of the URL as shown in the screenshot below. This is the Domain Name and it will be needed to complete the next section. Make sure to copy it and save it somewhere accessible.

- Note: The below screenshot is just an example, and your Domain Name will be different.

Section 3: Establish Connection
Task 1: Paylocity Representative Generates Link
This Task will be completed by a representative from Paylocity while on a call with the Customer.
- Step 1: On the left menu, click/expand Integration Management.
- Step 2: Click Apps from the drop-down menu.
- Step 3: Scroll down until you see the Salesforce application. Click the application icon or anywhere within the row where the Salesforce application is located.
- Step 4: You will be taken to the Salesforce screen. Click the App Options button on the top right of your screen.
- Step 5: Select Generate Link from the drop-down menu.
- Step 6: A link will appear under the App Options button. Copy the link by highlighting the text, right clicking, and selecting Copy.
- Step 7: At this point, Paylocity will provide the link to the Customer while on the call and keep the current Cloudsnap page open.
Task 2: Customer Connects to Salesforce
This Task will be completed by the Customer while still on the call with their Paylocity representative.
- Step 1: Paste the link into your browser. It will take you to the screen shown below. Enter the following values:

- Consumer Secret: See Section 2, Step 8
- Domain Name: See Section 2, Step 9

- Step 2: Click Update App.
- Step 3: You will be taken to the screen shown below. Click Connect.
- Step 4: Log in to your Salesforce account.
- Step 5: You will be taken to Salesforce and prompted to authorize the integration. Click the Allow button located at the bottom of your screen.
- Step 6: You will see the screen shown below. This indicates that your credentials were stored for the integration.
Task 3: Paylocity Tech Services Confirms Connection in Cloudsnap
This Task will be completed by a representative from Paylocity while on the call with the Customer.
- Step 1: After the Customer confirms that their credentials have been stored (Section 3, Task 2, Step 6), click the Test Connection button in Cloudsnap at the top right of your screen. If you are no longer on the Salesforce page in Cloudsnap, follow Steps 1-3 in Task 1 of this section.
- If successful, a green checkmark will appear to the left of the Test Connection button.
- If the connection succeeds, this indicates that the Salesforce connection has been established, and the connection can be used for Salesforce.
- If the connection fails, check and correct the Salesforce credentials.
- If successful, a green checkmark will appear to the left of the Test Connection button.
